Welcome to the 2009 Manitoba Envirothon!

Envirothon is a hands-on environmental education competition for high school students. Whether you are a returning team, have never been involved with the program, you want to volunteer, or you want to be a sponsor this website is a starting point for learning more about the program. Manitoba Envirothon has been a program of the Manitoba Forestry Association since 1996.

Over the past decade the program has grown from four teams in the first year to over thirty teams last year. We also hosted the 2006 Canon Envirothon which is the North American competition that winning teams from state and provincial competitions attend each summer. We are looking forward to continuing this momentum by expanding the program over the next few years. We are developing strategies for reaching more students across the province, including students in middle-school.
